I will post the next evolution version of said creature. I named them mamarials. they were originally going to be giant b00bs, but i changed my mind. I have a killerbunnie creature, but i will have to get some screen shots of them.

I think spore will change the RPG community. Now designers can design and create all the races for whatever rpg they want to make, and now give visual clues. and when i say rpg i do not mean computer games.

More About Mozilla Songbird

I did some further look into Mozilla Songbird, and I really like it. To install on my Linux box all I had to do was download the tar.bz file, extract, and then just run the executable file. A cool thing about Songbird is that it will scan all the media in a folder and add it to its library thing, very similiar to alot of MP3 Programs like iTunes, Winamp, Amarok, etc. However, better than iTunes, and XMMS, Songbird will play my FLAC files, no problems. The last things I want to test is whether or not Songbird will play the stream for TSRN, if it does then cool, also if it will import off of CDs and run a library very similiar to iTunes. If it does those 2 things, I will have found an Media Player that does what I need it to do. I suggest you all check it out. It's still in beta, but part of things is to help develop it.

Testing Some Mozilla Projects

So, I decided to test a couple Mozilla Projects.

First, is Mozilla Sunbird/Lightning, which is a calender program/Thunderbird Add-on. Since I wanted to test it with Thunderbird I choose the Lightning Option. After installing the add-on and restarting Thunderbird I like the add-on. You can add events, and make them repeat, a cool function about the repeat function is you can set it to not just specific numbered days, but other ones, Like every 3rd Saturday of September. You can also "invite" people to events, meaning sharing an event, like your birthday, etc. Unfortunately Google hasn't made a tie in so you can import, connect, whatever to your Google Calender, O! well. But, otherwise a good and new feature. Now as long as a company doesn't use...MICROSOFT EXCHANGE... and uses something like POP3 or IMAP, a company can use something like Open Office + Mozilla + Ubuntu and not pay Microsoft a dime, or pay Microsoft a dime and buy XP, *shudders*, and install Open Office + Mozilla for all the features you get from Buying Microsoft Office.

The other Project I'm testing out, is called Songbird, it is still in Beta, but it looks kinda nice. If you look at the interface it has a very similar feel to Apple iTunes merged with some features of Winamp, and maybe even a bit of Amarok. Looks nice, but I haven't had much to play with, considering I don't have much music on the laptop and I'm at school.

So here is where you can look to checkout Mozilla Sunbird/Lightning, and here is where you can look at Song Bird.

Sorry if I possibly did bad formatting by having the text link like that.

Why Microsoft Sucks Even More

Not only does Microsoft not have a huge success at writing an operating system, or work well with others. Their Web designers don't even know how to design their websites to render correctly in their own browser. I'm on the Xbox Site working on a class project, attempting to get some print outs, and then it goes downhill. First to even get it to print all the information I have to go from my trustworthy Firefox to IE Tab. Then it cuts off part of the document, so now I have to print it in Landscape. So not only do they have web designers who are just as bigoted that Microsoft is to force people to use IE, the web designers are so bad at what they do they can't even have it render properly in IE to print properly. Sorry for the Rant, but almost once a week either Microshaft, the RIAA, or the MPAA hugely pisses me off. Today is Microshafts day to *bite me*, but I would rather they didn't, I prefer being human, not Zombie Borg.

Ok after reading these things they need to understand things
"A PC with an NIC (network interface card). If your PC has an Ethernet port (also referred to as Cat5 or RJ-45), it has an NIC. An Ethernet port looks like a standard telephone jack, only bigger." ...
Ok yes RJ-45 is used in Ethernet, yes Cat5 or Cat5e is used as a type of Ethernet Cable, but a Cat5 port???? I have never heard it called that way, if I'm wrong feel free to correct me

I need a friend

It sucks being smarter than 90% of the class. We are supposed to be setting up a network on a Cisco Virtual Lab Program. Simple at first. Start with 2 routers and 2 PCS. The routers are connected together via serial cable, and the one router to each computer via Ethernet jack. Just configure with the sub netting the routers and pcs to be able to ping each other. Ive been done for a bit over an hour now i think, and some of the people still don't have even 1 router configured properly and ready to go. HELP!!!!!

And since I have class Thursday Night Also, I Can't listen to fuzzface00 on air.

NO MORE USED CARS FOR ME, EVER.

And I know what is wrong with the new used car

Starters

the rear passanger is a R50 unlike the other 3 which are R55 which means its smaller which can screw with things

Second

The front passanger is currently ocuppied by the donut cause the stupid valvue stem is busted so when i put the nozzle on to fill up the tire i only deflate the tire, which i sucessfully did it down to 20PSI when it should be 44 PSI

Next Time NEW CAR. PERIOD.

Unless it is a 1973 Pontiac Trans AM

It was suggested to me that I use exim4 for a email server, but when trying to configure it I cannot figure out where to go to do so. And the online searching i did do did not provide much in the way of help, so if anybody has a good idea of where i can look for help.

Daily News Break

Bringing you the news via slashdot today. While I know all of you have time to go to Slashdot and look up what you want I just feel like doing so.

Samsung now has a 64GB Flash Drive. I wouldn't mind getting my hand on one of these pieces of hardware. Would mean I could stop lugging this 80GB Drive to school, or I can use one to test an OS like Free BSD, or OpenBSD.
Samsund unveils 64GBit flash memory chip

Microsoft in another dumb move, which moves a computer to a standstill, though when was this not a case. But seriously, why do you force an indexing of your system, and why would you allow Microsoft to do so, you know what is going to happen. This is why I use Google Desktop.
More gnashing of teeth after Microsoft update brings PCs to a standstill

SCO is being offered money, I think Cthulu and Halaster will have something to say about that. We all know SCO is bad, but still people offer them money. Then again look at Microsoft, same thing.
Slashdot|Investment Firm Bids to Buy SCOs UNIX Operations

Last one,
Anyone wanna help me with this one, I think with a big enough collection of geeks we can do a UF montage and make one. Though I find it odd that it is now it is in Slashdot when UF did something about a month ago was it.
Slashdot|NASA Offering $2 Million Prize for Lunar Lander

Now late the hating begin

Ubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy"

After my miraculous screw up of my own system, entirely my fault. I guess I get to backup my data, and just rebuild the system. This time I'm documenting all of my configurations so i can repeat them again, also I'm going to try some things and see what i can learn. See how well on my own i can get the machine to do multiple things.

-E-Mail Server
-DNS
-DHCP(though i will disable it so as not to screw up the house)
-Web Server, must remember Apache
-Streaming Server

If I'm forgetting anything that would be commonly used in a corporate environment, I want to be able to have a true Ubuntu Server fully functional so if/when I get my own shop and become Sys Admin like I want I can replace the Microshaft Servers with something good.

Microsoft on the edge trying to hold on

I finally got into reading Slashdot and when I came across this article i couldn't help but cringe and be cheerful at the same time. Yes, Microsoft owns part of Facebook, but its facebook so who cares, but they beat out Google, which is major bonage, but the reason they did makes me cheer. Microsoft is on their toes, on the edge, and desperately trying to hold on to something to stay alive. This is why you make sure things are good before you release them, but when was the last time Microsoft did that.

Slashdot|Microsoft to pay $240 Million for Stake in Facebook
